How do you tackle laulau? I thought there was only one way, just douse with chili pepper water, dig in and grab a little bit of everything. Lauren Araki of the Big Island family-run Kuhio Grille—now with a second location in Kaimuki—says otherwise. Oh, and their one-pound laulau also defies the pork-and-fish tradition by combining pork and beef! Also on the table, fried saimin and squid luau, an every-other-Sunday special.
