On this episode, I visit a popular Hawaiian chain, L & L Hawaiian Barbecue. It has finally landed in my area here in Northern Virginia. And, so, it’s a chance for me to further explore Hawaiian food, particularly the plate lunch/takeout culture that’s so popular there. Moco Loco, Kalua Pork, Korean style kalbi ribs, which take inspiration from American food on the mainland, Asia, and indigenous foodways on the islands, are some of the big name items
