Hole in the Wall Spot! || Okinawan Food in Honolulu! [Kapahulu, Hawaii]

We started our day out with some traditional Hawaiian food and then went to the beach! Unfortunately Kala’s brothers family had to fly out early that morning and then after the beach his sisters family flew out that afternoon. After we hung out with them we saw a close friend and ate our way through the North Shore haha! Shaved ice, burritos, acai bowls, etc! It was such a good day I didn’t want it to end!! So today we decided to try local Hawaiian food at the famous and well known restaurant, Highway Inn. I remember eating there as a kid, but it’s been years since I’ve had food from there. Although it is a bit on the pricier end for Hawaiian food, it is definitely quality. Everything there was soooo delicious! If you’re not from Hawaii but want to try Highway Inn, they also ship frozen foods throughout the US and I believe international! www.myhighwayinn.com

After our ono lunch, we met up with the rest of the family to see the new Pow!Wow! exhibit at the Bishop Museum. It was nice to explore Bishop Museum since I have not been there in years! We all loved walking through and would highly recommend that you check it out if you live on Oahu. It’s very vibrant and definitely helps to bring out the creative side in each of us.
