Awesome Hawaiian Food Island Eats Hale ‘Aina!

On this episode Oppa and 철수 try Hawaiian food at Island Eats Hale ‘Aina. California has the largest population of Hawaiians outside of Hawaii. That’s why Los Angeles has some of the best Hawaiian food. Island Eats Hale ‘Aina uses recipes passed down from generations and is one of the few places in Los Angeles that imports fresh ingredients directly from Hawaii. Aloha!

Eating Show Hawaiian food Taro root

This is my first eating show I’ve done so grab some food eat with me as I eat and describe Hawaiian food.

I find Taro root very interesting.

Poi is a Hawaiian word for the primary Polynesian staple food made from the underground plant stem or corm of the taro plant (known in Hawaiian as kalo). It is a traditional part of Native Hawaiian cuisine. Poi is produced by mashing the cooked corm (baked or steamed) until it is a highly viscous fluid.
