Escabeche can also be cooked in other ways, depending on which country you want to shoot for. This Filipino fish escabeche recipe uses fried fish (I’m using pompano), topped with a sweet and sour sauce and vegetables!

This is a healthy-ish dish that you can whip up easily at home, as long as you’ve got a big meaty fish to fry and the basic ingredients to make sweet and sour sauce!

This is one of my go-to recipes if I’m craving something sweet and sour, with a lot of flavor to dress up an ordinary ol’ fish. Just make sure you don’t burn the sugar in the sauce!

You should be able to find the ingredients in this recipe at your typical grocery store. If you need help with substitutions, please let me know in the comments below!
