Kahiau’s Bakery and Cafe has been in the Virginia Beach area for three years and is owned by a seven-year vegan lover.

The owner moved from Philly in 2014 to Hawaii and started selling cakes. This led her to want to come to the Virginia Beach area to share her love of vegan food.

Want to learn how to cook vegan food? Stop by Kahiahiua’s Bakery & Cafe the last Saturday of every month or O’Connor Brewing Co in Norfolk the third Sunday of every month to learn how to cook vegan food. Classes are open to any cooking experience level and whether your vegan or not.

Known for their summer whiskey barbeque burger that features pineapple, the restaurant made whiskey barbeque sauce, and cheese. It will be back on their menu in May. Right now they feature their Irish burger that features caramelized onions, mashed potatoes, and cheese.
