? Road to Hana – it’s not about the destination but the journey, it’s Hawaii’s best scenic drives with so many stunning sights, beaches, waterfalls, green surroundings, and love for nature moments! Visiting every attraction along the drive is impossible! We only had a day to do this so we focused on the highlights. We started early to get ahead with the major crowds. We were at Hana Highway at 7am and it’s worth it! ☺️

The 1st stop was at Ke’anae Arboretum to take a peaceful walk with the beautiful native plants and see the tall & colorful Rainbow Eucalyptus Trees! ?

The 2nd stop was at Aunty Sandy’s where you can have the softest & freshest banana bread ? and organic smoothie!
I also got the “Hana Tonic” for motion sickness ? The highway has a lot of curves and one lane bridges. Right next to it is the Keanae Peninsula with the gorgeous coastline views!

The 3rd Stop was the Black Sand Beach! It was picture-perfect! Stayed more than an hour to swim the turquoise water, rest and eat our packed lunches. What a moment! ?

The 4th Stop was at Koki Beach – nice red sand beach! Swimming here is not too safe due to rocky and strong currents but it’s a great place to sit, watch, and listen to the pleasing sound of the ocean waves.

The 5th stop was the Wailua Falls! ?What an amazing view and a truly rewarding experience.. It’s definitely my favorite spot! ?

Lastly, Seven Sacred Pools, Breathtaking Setting.. Ohe’o which means something special! The pools were closed for swimming but still a must see! You would wish you have more time here to try all the hiking trails! And yet it started to rain ?, you’ll contemplate the view through the raindrops while walking, getting wet and just enjoying the moment. ?

– At the Top of Haleakala Volcano! 10,023 feet above sea level. It’s a 2 hour drive up to this winding mountain, I experienced a bit of nausea and dizziness ? but the breathtaking views are all worth it! Haleakala means “House of the Sun”, and it has erupted long time ago, more than 400+ years, but it could erupt again in the future. It feels so unreal yet it’s here! to be at the highest point of Maui! Mahalo! ??

Thank you for watching!
